Cordero received his Medical Degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 1993. He completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington D.C., and his cardiology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center-UCLA Los Angeles, California. He then pursued advanced training in cardiovascular and peripherovascular interventions at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He joined Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada in 2003.

 

Dr. Cordero is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, and Board Certified  in Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.

Dr. Cordero’s areas of expertise are coronary and peripherovascular interventions including endoluminal graft for repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms. He has been involved in multiple clinical trials and has co-authored chapters on carotid percutaneous interventions. Dr. Cordero speaks Spanish fluently.
